This kitchen is unique in every rite. Located in the heart of a converted old barn, required constant creativity on how to incorporate the existing features of the original structure, like the old beams, without losing the needs of a family kitchen. The style of the cabinetry needed to reflect the age of the home which is why a stained peg cornered door frame was a perfect choice. The details of the hand-laid brick floor pointed stone backsplash, slate counted tops, and copper sink and hood also highlight and honor the distinctiveness of this space. Every aspect of this kitchen required each piece to be handcrafted and custom-made.
Bathrooms add valuable real estate to a home. Updating or adding a bathroom no matter how small can add a touch to a luxury and practical much-needed space. Removing the old tub and putting in a single customize sized glass shower makes this space seem much roomier than it is as it visually removes barriers in the room. We added heated floors, updated plumbing, and fixtures to add nice modern conveniences.
